Still Has Edit Access
His new girlfriend renamed our old budget tab. I still have edit access to the sheet I built and never revoked it.

Stories for the hours nobody sees.
The notification says Aiden's edit. Not Aiden, Priya, the new one, the one with the plant blog. She retitled a tab I made three years ago from Grocery Split to Meal Plan and left the rest of the sheet exactly the way I built it, categories and all, the same color coding I used for produce versus pantry.
I built that sheet the winter we couldn't afford to eat out. He kept the file when we split because deleting it felt petty and neither of us wanted to be the petty one first. I told myself I'd forgotten it existed.
I open it maybe once a month, always at this hour, always telling myself it's the last time. Tonight there's a new row for someone's allergy and a comment in the margin that says love this system, who made it, and Aiden hasn't answered her in the thread yet.
I could tell her. I have the receipts, three years of edit history with my name on every early version. I don't type anything. I just sit with the cursor blinking in an empty cell that isn't mine to fill anymore, in a file I never actually left.
Did this one stay with you?

The dinner box he never canceled still ships a recipe for two. I split it onto two plates and eat off both.
Six months of a faster route sitting there in green, and I still drive past his building every single night instead.
The running app still logs her as my partner on this route, twelve times together. She muted me weeks ago. I laced up anyway.
