Daniel's Standup Still Reminds Me
daniel quit in march. the meeting he set up still reminds me every tuesday at 2:14.
This one goes to a heavy place. If you’d rather not read it tonight, that’s a fine choice — support resources are here.
the reminder went off at 2:14, same as every other tuesday. daniel's standup, in fifteen minutes. daniel quit in march. nobody deleted the invite so it still goes out to the six of us, except the six of us keeps getting smaller and i'm the only one still in the building this late. i watched the notification sit there and didn't clear it.
i keep meaning to take myself off the invite, or take daniel off, i can never pick which. remove him and it's like admitting the meeting is fine without him. remove me and it just quietly goes to people who muted it a year ago. so it stays on both our calendars. i refilled my water at the cooler for the third time without drinking any. the reminder will fire again next tuesday whether i'm here or not. who is it reminding, at this point.
Did this one stay with you?
